Whether it is federal compliance requirements, such as DBRA and Section 3, or local compliance requirements around business equity and inclusion, we have developed and implemented a robust internal strategy to ensure that we comply on each project we undertake.
Committed To MWSBE
BLOCK is committed to the participation of MWSBE Firms on all our projects. Building on our success in affordable and mixed-income housing projects, we craft customized MWSBE Strategic Plans for each project.
Our compliance strategy sets MWSBE and Section 3 businesses up for success from the Pre-Bid Phase through completion. We prioritize Business Equity Goal participation for certified MWSBE’s and Section 3 businesses. Through our diligent efforts, we are committed to meeting and exceeding participation goals for affordable and mixed-income housing construction projects.
Our Compliance Team innovates and refines compliance programs to maximize positive economic impact for communities. With our creative bid packaging, community partnerships, and compliance strategy, we demonstrate our dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). To encourage economic opportunity, we provide on-going diversity training and workforce development.

- Commitment to Hire: The Commitment to Hire Program ensures opportunities for Section 3 workers on our projects.
- Gateway Program: The Gateway Program offers work opportunities to neighborhood residents seeking to grow their construction skills and expand their job experience.
