The new development is located near Lane Regional Medical Center and provides the Zachary community with new housing options in a high growth area of the parish, added Delahaye.
Construction of the new Palms at Sunset Lakes began in April 2020 and is expected to be completed in late 2021.
Lance Malley, AIA, The Architectural Studio, designed the new community. It is modeled on the award-winning CST Land Developers apartment community, The Palms at Juban Lakes, which captured a Good Growth Award in 2018.
In addition to the Palms at Juban Lakes, CST Land Developers, LLC has also developed The Crossing Apartments, The Reserve at Jefferson Crossing, and The Village at Juban Lakes, all located in the Baton Rouge region; and, Sonoma Palms Apartments located in Las Cruces, New Mexico. The Village at Juban Lakes was sold in 2016. The Palms at Sunset Lakes creates a portfolio of approximately 796 units with an additional 420 units to be completed in metro Baton Rouge by December 2022.
The Palms at Sunset Lakes is a gated community with the following features: hardwood floors, garden tubs, crown molding, stainless steel appliances and granite counters. The complex will also have a designer swimming pool, volleyball and basketball courts, a fitness center, club house with business center, walking trails and professional landscaping.
The lease rates will be $800 monthly for a one bedroom, $900 for a two bedroom, and $1,000 for a three bedroom.
